Asona Newsletter-April

Milissa Torres has been selected as our Employee of the month of April. Milissa has been employed with us since May 2019. Milissa has an excellent attendance record. If she’s on the schedule you can be sure she will be there. She is a very compassionate and kind person. Milissa works with a very challenging client that keeps her on her toes! She is a good sport and is willing to try different activities with him. We appreciate her great attitude! We feel fortunate to have her as a caregiver. Thank you, Millisa for everything you do!

COVID-19 has impacted the way we work, live, and play. We have been fortunate enough to have kindhearted individuals that have volunteered their time to make cloth facemasks. We also have plenty of gloves to help us care for our clients safely. If anyone has a source for hand sanitizer please let us know. Meanwhile, we have a large supply on backorder. We’d like to thank everyone who has donated their time or given supplies. We are very proud of our caregivers for coming together and helping solve any scheduling issues. As this situation unfolds, caregivers in the home will continue to be essential. Maybe even more than ever. Use protective equipment where indicated, wash your hands frequently, and use hand sanitizer.

April is Autism Awareness month. The Autism Society of America is calling it’s new 2020 campaign “ Celebrating Differences” Find out how you can get involved and #CelebrateDifferences.
