Asona September News!
Asona Home Health will be putting out a company newsletter on the first day of every month. There are many great stories that I hear while working here at the office. Unfortunately, the stories often stop here at the office. I would like to share some of these stories from the field with everyone. Our caregivers do some really cool things with clients. If you have something cool happening either you, or your client should call the office and tell me about it!
It would be great to use the newsletter to talk about things of interest going on in the company.
If you have an idea or a topic you would like to see here please notify me!
Employee of the Month
Stacy Gates September 2019 Asona Home Health, LLC Employee of the Month!
Stacy Gates has been a caregiver with Asona Home Health since July of 2018. For service above and beyond to her clients, Stacy is the Employee of the Month this September. Stacy has become very close to the senior couple that she works with. She has stepped up repeatedly to help them work out issues that wouldn’t fit the job description of a caregiver. They have come to trust her to provide support as they face the challenges that aging can bring, and they have more than their share of challenges.
One constant source of comfort to them has been the husband’s faithful dog. He was everything you hope for in a canine companion. Unfortunately, he was very old and struggling with serious problems like pets often do at the end of life. The time had come when he had such a poor quality of life that he needed to be put down. Stacy took the dog and his owner to the Veterinary clinic. The owner was too overcome with grief, and became too upset to be present for the procedure. Stacy remained with the dog as he received his injections and was put to sleep. Stacy was also overcome with emotion, but managed to stay by his side so he wouldn’t be with strangers at the end of life. The owner was very grateful to Stacey for this kindness. He thanked her for being there for him and his best friend. This was a hard day for Stacey and most certainly well above any amount of care a caregiver might expect to provide for a client. Stacey was very glad to be able to help our clients any way she could in this time of need.
Stacey is always on time to any scheduled shifts. If Stacy is scheduled you know she will be there, and somehow, she can always put her problems aside and focus on the client’s needs. Stacy Gates is an outstanding person and caregiver, and we are proud to work with her and call her an employee.
